Project Nemo : Version 2.0 !
Project Nemo Version 2.0 is here !
This updates aimed to bring the game to it's envisionned level that could not be achieved under the jam's time constraint.
New cards, new features, new art, more fish
This updates adds not less than 20 new unique cards based around puns or references, all with custom pixel arts. These will diversify your play, and allow you to forge new tactics to win encounters.
An in-game menu (accessible through ESCAPE key) allows you to exit the game at any moment as well as an explanation panel and a tutorial. Overall, these changes should reduce the confusion surrounding the game's rules and logic.
5 new opponents have been added, each with custom art.
Animations, Sounds and QoL
This update also brings a slew of QoL changes :
- Many more sounds have been added to reflect damage being taken/dealt, buff effects, miss, etc...
- Animations were given to the cards when hovered on, opponents and menu to make the game more vibrant.
- Game Over text now gives you more information on your run.
- Adjusted the UI to be less annoying to read and interact with.
And bugs...
And of course, this update brings even more bug fixes, solving the reported major crash issues encountered so far.
What of the future ?
As of now, I don't really have plans to expand the game any further aside from new cards or opponents. Furthermore, my interest has switched to other projects, so any further updates (save for bug fixes) should not be expected any time soon. But in the event that changes, devlogs will follow !
